John Choe


John Choe John Choe has extensive government and nonprofit experience, currently serving in the New York City Council as Chief of Staff to Council Member Liu, and previously with the Corporation for Supportive Housing, the New York City Department of Finance, and the Rent Guidelines Board. John is also a longtime community activist who is currently President of the Mitchell-Linden Civic Association, serves on the Board of Directors of the Democratic Organization of Flushing, moderates New York City's Asian Community Online Network, and attends the Flushing Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. John earned his BA in History from Binghamton University as a New York State Regents Scholar and his Masters in Public Policy (MPP) at the University of Chicago as a Woodrow Wilson National Fellow in Public Affairs & International Relations. Mr. Choe has been recognized for his public service by New York Newsday, the Overseas Koreans Foundation, and the Fund for the City of New York as a recipient of the Union Square Award as well as fellowships from the Network of Korean American Leaders, the Coro New York Leadership Center, Columbia University, and the Open Society Institute.
